Bangkok – April 2014
I had heard mixed things from people who had travelled to Bangkok, some absolutely loved it and others loathed it and seems it is a polarising city. Luckily for me I absolutely loved Bangkok for the three days that I visited and stayed at Dream Hotel which has a gorgeous rooftop pool and is located very conveniently close to the train station.
I crammed as much as I could in to three days, as well as trying to abide by the heat. I visited the temple of the reclining buddha (wat pho) and although I usually have temple fatigue I thought this one was amazing. I visited the weekend Chatuchak Market and got lost in the maze like alleys, trying to find clothes that I knew I would fit without having to try anything on as it was so hot. I went on a night time river cruise up to a restaurant.
I for some reason went to Khao San Road which I wouldn’t again with unless I was backpacking and needed to find accommodation. Although I suspect there would be better places to stay.
